Roma Injury News
Sir Alex Ferguson is sweating on the fitness of Owen Hargreaves, Nemanja Vidic and Wes Brown as the Old Trafford boss looks to make it two wins from two in Europe this season.
Hargreaves has been sidelined over recent weeks with a groin problem sustained on England duty, but Ferguson has revealed the midfielder trained with the United squad on Monday in the build-up to the Roma match and could play.
"Hargreaves has trained this morning with the team and it's a possibility tomorrow," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
"I would like him to have had some more football to be honest because European football is a different level of speed and tactics. But we'll see tomorrow."
Ferguson, who is already definitely without goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar who sustained a toe injury in the 1-0 win over Birmingham on Saturday, has also admitted he has concerns about Vidic and Brown.
The defensive duo missed training on Monday, but it was thought to be only a precautionary measure after the pair picked up knocks against the Blues.
"Vidic is a doubt and Wes Brown is a doubt," Ferguson added.
"Both players picked up knocks on Saturday and really we are going to have to wait on them because they missed the training this morning and you don't want players missing training the day before a game.
"That would be a bit difficult for us, obviously (Gerard) Pique would come in for Vidic and O'Shea for Wes, but we will see tomorrow."
