Anderson Interview

How would you sum up your first season at Old Trafford?
I feel I’ve improved my performances both in matches and in training. At first, it took me time to get used to the way things work at United, but from then on I’ve just tried to improve step-by-step and give my best for the team. I’m very happy with everything about my life at Old Trafford.

Nani: Queiroz Should Stay

Nani hopes Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz resists interest from Benfica.

"It would be very sad if Carlos Queiroz left Manchester United to go away to another club," Nani told the Portuguese press.

Queiroz did not quell the speculation concerning his future on Tuesday, when he said: "This is something I do not want to talk about.

Rooney: Giggs Ideal Role-Model

Wayne Rooney has hailed the record of Manchester United teammate Ryan Giggs.

Incredibly, Rooney was only five when Giggs made his United debut.

Rooney, now 22, laughed: "I can remember his hair because he used to have a big mop-head. Seriously, his talent and dedication are great. He helps all the players. He's definitely a big help to me and the way I play my game."

Evra Unsure of Future

Patrice Evra admits he doesn't know if he is staying at Manchester United.

"I love the club," he insisted. "When I'm on the PlayStation, I could never be another English team!

"But as for the future, you never know. I could leave next year, or in two years. Everyone's asking me questions because I have not yet extended my deal but I have an agent to deal with that.

Carrick: Still Grounded

Michael Carrick says Manchester United's players are staying grounded after victory over Liverpool yesterday.

The Geordie midfielder told MUTV: "We're not getting carried away by any means but we're happy with our position. Three or four weeks ago we were a few points behind Arsenal and aware that we needed to get points on the board fairly quickly.

Vidic: Ferdinand a Friend

Nemanja Vidic has revealed he's close to Manchester United defensive partner Rio Ferdinand on and off the pitch.

Vidic said: "Rio and I have a great partnership and we are good mates. It was difficult when I first came here because my English was not so good, but now it's much better.

Rooney: In Our Hands

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney says his teammates are delighted after victory over Liverpool.

Rooney said: "It's always nice to beat Liverpool and it's opened up a bit of a gap now at the top of the league. I'm delighted with the win. I know the goals will come [for him personally] - I'm not too concerned with that."

Nani & Ronaldo Pull Out

Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani will miss Portugal's friendly with Greece on Wednesday due to injury. The Manchester United duo picked up knocks during the Premier League leaders' 3-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday.

Ronaldo, who took his tally to 34 for the season by heading United's second goal against Liverpool, is suffering from pains in his left leg.

Vidic Impressed by Benzema

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic admits he was impressed by Olmypique Lyon striker Karim Benzema after the youngster scored in last night's 1-1 draw.

United are chasing Benzema for next season and Vidic said: "Lyon have some good players and Benzema caused us some problems.
