Ibrahimovic – A Striker for the Ages

While West Ham’s want-away attacker Dimitri Payet is the perfect example of how easy it is to go from hero to villain, the reverse is true of Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Never has the phrase 'form is temporary, class is permanent' been truer than in the case of the Swedish star.

Barely three months ago, Guardian writer Jamie Jackson accused Ibrahimovic’s goal drought – at the time of writing, he’d gone five weeks without scoring – of costing United any hope they had of winning the title

Manchester United Can Win the Europa League If They Avoid Fear, Says Paul Scholes

Paul Scholes says that the key towards Manchester United rediscovering the former glory days would be to play without fearing the opposition.

After having managed just one win in the last five league matches, United are certainly looking once again set for a top four battle. The club has missed out on qualification to the Champions League twice in the last three seasons. It is a very good possibility that United may very well miss out on the top for once again, as the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal seem extremely good at the moment.

Title Still Very Much on for Mourinho's Men

Manchester United may be 13 points behind runaway leaders Chelsea at Christmas but the Premier League title isn’t out of reach just yet. Jose Mourinho’s side are unbeaten in their last eight domestic fixtures and the Red Devils are starting to put together an ominous run of form as the business end of the season approaches.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimović and Anthony Martial have raised their game in recent weeks, but the emergence of Henrikh Mkhitaryan as an attacking option has helped Mourinho’s men to find their best form ahead of the busy festive period. The Armenian star took a while to settle and adjust to life at Old Trafford but he is now arguably one of the first names on the team sheet.

Is Morgan Schneiderlin on his way out of Old Trafford?

Morgan Schneiderlin arrived to Manchester United on July of 2015 with a price tag of £24 million and in his debut season as a player of the Premier League club, the French midfielder was able to make 29 appearances as he quickly became a regular starter.

Unfortunately for Schneiderlin, he is no longer a regular starter as the French player has mostly been on the sidelines of Manchester United as a substitute player. It appears like the 26 year old midfielder just isn’t in the plans of Jose Mourinho, as the Portuguese manager prefers to utilize the services of other players in the center of the pitch.

Joe Hart hints on Pep Guardiola rating Issues

Joe Hart hints that instead of taking Pep Guardiola’s views to heart and doubting himself, he would like to find a manager who rates him and respects his way of goalkeeping.

As per Hart, there are many views about a Football player and the views can be contrasting. Someone would say a player is fantastic and the other might say no, he is not. But, a player can’t listen to everyone.
In the case of Hart, it’s only the views of the selected people he says he listens to.

José Mourinho Ready to Drop Underperforming Players at United

Jose Mourinho claims that he would not be afraid to drop any Manchester United star if it would benefit the team.

The Portuguese has come under intense scrutiny over the last couple of weeks, as United struggle to get any consistency in their results. After an excellent start to his life at Old Trafford, Mourinho has overseen just one league victory in the last five games. His team’s defensive approach in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Monday night has drawn even more flak from the critics. Mourinho was always expected to go defensive when it comes to big matches and his staunch supporters would not have been surprised by United’s approach against Liverpool.

Time for Rooney to go?

The Manchester United and England striker turns 31 at the end of October, and that age wouldn’t necessarily suggest any decline in form, but Wayne Mark Rooney has many more footballing miles on his clock than most professional players of similar years.

Age no barrier
Some players find their very best form after reaching thirty-plus, two notables include former United striker Teddy Sheringham, who at 33, equalised for the Reds in their miraculous Champions League comeback win over Bayern Munich back in 1999 and also gained recognition for his fine veteran performances by winning the Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year in 2001.

SCHWEINSTEIGER LEFT OF UNITED EUROPA LEAGUE SQUAD

Recently retired Germany international Bastian Schweinsteiger has been left out of the squad poised to play for Man United in the Europa League this term.

A 27-man list was submitted to continental football governing body UEFA, but the former Bayern Munich player was left out. However, there is hope he could feature in the Premier League at some point after he was named this week in the Red Devils’ squad.
