UNITED MAKE MORE

Manchester United have improved their medical facilities by installing aspects like new ultrasound, CT and MRI scanners at their training ground.

Manager David Moyes said that he is extremely pleased with the improvements made in this regard and he termed the club as having the best medical facilities of any club in the world. The medical systems have been provided by Toshiba, who are one of the numerous sponsors for the club. It has been a troubled period for Manchester United on the pitch, but Moyes will be hoping that this improvement helps him avoid injuries to key players.

One of the less spoken attributes of this campaign has been the numerous injury problems suffered by United in various areas of the pitch. Moyes has been unable to field a steady back four due to this reason. As a result of this investments, Moyes and his medical staff will be able to diagnose and treat injuries much quicker than in previous years. The former Everton manager is also confident that such facilities will help the club be even more attractive in the eyes of new players.

United are expected to grow on a spending spree in the summer after an extraordinarily poor season, which is on course to see them miss out on Champions League football for next season.

"It’s a wonderful facility that we can show off to new players and something we should be very proud of. Manchester United has great partnerships and to be working with Toshiba is important to attract new players to the club. The Aon Training Complex is one of the leading football centres in the world and to have this new medical unit connected to it is fantastic. It’s private and somewhere the players can trust, which is important for us,” said Moyes.
