Macheda off to Sampdoria
Federico Macheda's agent has moved to dampen speculation that Manchester United are in talks with Serie A side Sampdoria over a season-long loan deal for the teenage sensation.
Macheda, who is just 17-years-old, became an instant hero when he won United a crucial home game in injury-time against Aston Villa, and Sir Alex Ferguson has not been shy to let it be known that he sees the Italian striker having a bright future at the club.
A loan move to gain experience next season may not be out of the question, however, though Macheda's agent insists he is unaware of such a proposition.
"I do not know anything," Giovanni Bia told TMW when pressed on the Sampdoria rumours.
"I do not know if the two clubs have talked but I do not think so."
Macheda will reportedly be rewarded with a new deal once he reaches 18 years of age, which will see his wage jump from £400 to £10,000 once negotiations commence in the summer.
