MOURINHO PLANS COVER FOR VALENCIA

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could be planning a cover for right back Antonio Valencia despite renewing the contract of the Ecuador international for another twelve months recently, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been in contact with French side Monaco over the possible transfer of defender Fabinho. The player’s father made the revelations recently even though the English side were linked to the player last summer.

The Brazilian is very talented and versatile, functioning well in the right back and midfield positions. Mourinho know the youngster from his time at Real Madrid. The Portuguese tactician might be planning ahead of the forthcoming season, particularly as United have not reached predictable heights this term.

“We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona. We like Manchester United and Mourinho’s work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City,” Fabinho’s father told the media.

The rumours have been in the media that Mourinho has alternatives for certain roles at the club. It is unknown if Mou would eventually sign the player when there are other roles that need urgent reinforcement in the team.

On the other hand, the Daily Star has reported that United are among those interested in signing Ross Barkley from Everton FC during the summer. The 23-years old player would have less than a year at Goodison park so it would be a major decision for the English man if United come calling.

Everton would likely made plans to tie him down further. However, if Barkley fancies a move away from the Toffees, Mourinho would have decent chances of luring him ahead of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal who are reportedly keen on him as well.
