Lionel Messi’s ‘Sensational’ Player Quotes a Huge Price to Man United

Manchester United might have to fork out more than £100 million if they are keen on signing Enzo Fernandez of Argentina in the transfer window of January.

The star player grabbed the eye of the club at the World Cup where he scored his incredible goal against Mexico last week. Fernandez, the mid-fielder curled up in the top corner late for making his team’s win more comfortable after the low-range effort of Lionel Messi.

In Qatar, his form has been displayed by some great performances for his club side Benfica, for whom he contributed five assists and three goals this season. The 23-year-old player became a part of the Benfica from River plate for £10 million in July as the turned down transit to Wolves in the process. However, he has already his value skyrocketed.
His performance against Mexico has prompted a series of stories in the Portuguese press, with many reporting that Manchester United with many other clubs is looking at him.
However, their interest might not have an impact due to the 5-year contract signed by Fernandez in the summer having a release clause in it. Benfica isn’t in any mood for cashing in on their midfielder only a few months after signing up and is, therefore, would ask any club to pay the release amount in the fall. The club is at the top of Liga Portugal with a total of 12 wins from their 13 openings and has progressed into the Champion League’s knockout stages by finishing at the top of Group H, overtaking Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Lionel Messi is an influential fan of Fernandez and showered him with praise following the Mexico game. He stated that he knows Enzo well and has played against him. According to him, he is a spectacular kid.
