FANS BOO TEN HAG AFTER SUBSTITUTIONS

Manchester United fans made their displeasure clear at Old Trafford after Erik ten Hag's controversial decision during their 3-0 defeat to Liverpool. With United trailing, Ten Hag opted to bring on Amad in hopes of sparking a comeback, but his choice to substitute Alejandro Garnacho was met with loud boos from the home crowd.

Garnacho, one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal performance, was expected by many fans to stay on the pitch. The supporters’ reaction suggested they would have preferred to see Marcus Rashford, who struggled throughout the match, make way instead. Rashford failed to trouble Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson and was largely ineffective in the attack, leading to growing frustration among the United faithful.

Commenting on the substitution, Gary Neville noted, "No, they would've chosen someone else. I have to say United fans don't often boo managers, substitutions, players individually. There's been a couple today, ordinarily they don't but today, Casemiro in the first half then Rashford."

The boos underscored the broader dissatisfaction with United's performance. Liverpool dominated the match, with Luis Diaz scoring twice in the first half, capitalizing on mistakes by Casemiro. Mohamed Salah sealed the victory with a third goal early in the second half, leaving United with little hope of a comeback.

United's best chance came from a close-range header by Joshua Zirkzee, but Alisson was up to the task, making a strong save to preserve Liverpool’s clean sheet. The defeat highlighted United's ongoing struggles and left fans questioning some of Ten Hag's decisions, both in terms of tactics and player management.
