ERIKSEN STAYING PUT

Even though the summer transfer window has closed, Manchester United remain the subject of transfer speculation, with rumors swirling about both potential departures and future signings. With some transfer windows still open across Europe, and clubs already planning for the January window, discussions about possible moves continue at Old Trafford.

One player linked with a potential exit is Christian Eriksen. Reports in Belgium had suggested that the Danish midfielder could make a move to Anderlecht before the Belgian transfer window closes.

Eriksen was also previously rumored to be on Ajax’s radar earlier in the summer. However, his agent, Martin Schoots, has put an end to the speculation, confirming that Eriksen will remain at Manchester United for now. Speaking to *Voetbal International*, Schoots stated, "We can end those speculations," indicating that Eriksen will stay with the club at least until January.

Eriksen has had limited involvement in United’s campaign so far, making just one appearance this season. He came on for the final four minutes during United’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, adding to speculation about his future at the club. Despite the lack of playing time, it seems Eriksen will be part of Erik ten Hag's squad for the foreseeable future.

In terms of potential signings, United have been linked with a move for highly-rated River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono. The 17-year-old Argentine has caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona. According to *Marca*, Manchester United are now also in the race to sign the talented youngster, who has a release clause of €45 million (£37.8 million) in his contract.

Mastantuono has already made 13 league appearances for River Plate this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists, impressive numbers for a player of his age. His performances have sparked interest from top clubs, with United reportedly keeping a close eye on the midfielder as they plan for the future.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, Manchester United are likely to remain active in the market, both in terms of strengthening their squad and addressing potential departures.
