Tevez Stars for Argentina
Argentine striker Carlos Tevez came on as a second half substitute for Los Albicelestes against France, and played a key role in their second goal, which was converted by Lionel Messi.
The Manchester United striker later admitted to the press that Argentina's national coach, the legendary Diego Maradona, is capable of motivating the squad, and this has made a huge difference.
Tevez said that even though he didn't start the game, Maradona asked him to give his best, and those words inspired him when he entered the field.
"Diego talks and you get goosebumps," explained Tevez, in declarations to Radio 10. "It was a very nice match to find out where the Argentine national team stand. I'm happy because I thought the side were very solid."
Argentina picked up their second consecutive victory under Maradona. The first was a 1-0 win over Scotland in Glasgow late last year.
