Giggs: Goals Will Come

Giggs is focused on the nine Premiership points and Group F Champions League opening win against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal the run has produced rather than the fact United have failed to score more than one in a game in their last 13 matches.

"You'd take another 1-0 on Sunday against Chelsea. As long as we keep winning and keep clean sheets the goals will come," said Ryan.

"There have been seasons when we've nicked 1-0s and we know how important it is to keep clean-sheets. With this team and the amount of talent we have we will always create chances. We did that in Lisbon.

"As long as we have that base to go out and attack, the goals will definitely come.

"Defensively we were very tight last year and took our chances. That's what we were all about.

"But we know this year if we keep clean sheets and nick wins the goals will eventually flow.

"We have said we are capable of going on a good run and at the moment it is four games. Hopefully we can go on a run of ten or 11 games unbeaten and each win and performance will breed confidence. We hope to take that confidence into Sunday."

"We hope we are better equipped now to win away matches in the Champions League," he added.

"We set about it in the right way. We looked solid. Defensively we were very good. We looked quite good on the counter-attack as well.
