Neville Backs Ronaldo

Manchester United captain Gary Neville is confident Cristiano Ronaldo will resist all interest from Real Madrid.

"He knows he's at the right club," Neville told ITV1 when asked whether he thought the winger would head to La Liga.

"The adulation he receives, everything he would want is there.

"The manager's made his position clear, so I don't see a problem with that."

Ronaldo Out in a Year

Cristiano Ronaldo is planning to quit Manchester United for Real Madrid, it has been revealed.

The Sun says Ronaldo has told friends: "If I don't leave Manchester United now, I certainly will in a year."

Wayne Rooney has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to stay with Manchester United.

"I hope the partnership will continue for years. Ronaldo is a great player and it will be brilliant if we can keep him at the club for as long as possible. He's an unbelievable player," Rooney told reporters in the build-up to Wednesday's Champions League final against Chelsea in Moscow.
