Fergie: Neville Due Back

Sir Alex Ferguson says he expects Gary Neville to be fit and ready to play for United after the international break.

The United boss revealed that the injury is not as bad as first feared and believes Neville will be in contention to make his comeback during the Reds' 24 November trip to Bolton, ironically the team he suffered his initial against nearly eight months ago.

Fergie: 7 Subs

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has backed rival boss Sven-Goran Eriksson's call for seven substitutes to be allowed in Premier League games.

Presently, only five replacements can be named in domestic matches, a rule out of kilter with UEFA competitions, where seven is the norm.

Fergie: Bring Agent into Line

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants changes to agents laws.

He told Inside United: "Agents need to be regulated in a far stricter way.

"Agents give you a transfer fee that they want. You say to yourself, 'where did that come from? It's not directly linked to anything and the figure is in millions. Until clubs recognise it, an increasing amount of money will leave the game.

Fergie Bites at Arsenal

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has taken a swipe at Arsenal's foreign policy.

Fergie said: "It's not wrong that you should be seen to have a proportion of home-based players.

"It would be a problem for a club like Arsenal. That's why they'll protest the loudest. United's critics would say 'It's all right for you, you already have English players in your side'.

Fergie: No More Signings

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says he won't need to buy in January because many of his injured senior players will be available by then.

Ferguson said: "We won't be strengthening in January, I can absolutely assure everyone of that.

"We brought some good players into the club during the summer and we have also added youngsters like Gerard Pique and Danny Simpson to our squad.

Fergie Loving Nani

Sir Alex Ferguson has been pleasantly surprised by the way Nani has settled since moving from Sporting Lisbon, and the Reds boss predicts a bright future ahead for the Portuguese winger.

The 20-year-old has played in 11 of United's opening 13 fixtures in 2007/08, seven of which have been starts.

Fergie: A Little Lucky

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Manchester United were a 'little lucky' to beat Roma.

Ferguson praised Tomasz Kuszczak on his Champions League debut, but admitted Roma failed to make the most of their chances.

"He was excellent. He made a couple of good saves and made a good block in the second half," Ferguson said.

Hargreaves Out

Manchester United have been dealt a blow with the news that Owen Hargreaves requires another month on the sidelines.

The England international had been tipped to make his comeback in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Roma.

However, Hargreaves felt his knee in training on Monday and now United have opted to give him an injection in his knee.
