Carrick out for a Month

  • 25 September 2008

Michael Carrick has been ruled out for at least a month by a foot injury, the club announced Tuesday.

The 27-year-old England international was injured in the 2-1 defeat at Liverpool at the weekend, with scans revealing a broken bone in his right foot - but new scans have proved the injury is worse than first thought.

"Michael Carrick has got a small crack in his right foot which was diagnosed on Sunday afternoon and he will be out for four to six weeks, which is not good."
