A much-changed Manchester United side earned a draw against Italian giants Roma to protect their unbeaten record in the Champions League this season.

With United already having won Group F and Roma having qualified in second place the game had an eerie start, with the opening 20 minutes dreadfully apathetic.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he'll use their remaining Champions League group games to give his talented youngsters more experience.

United qualified for the knockout phase with their 4-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev last night and Ferguson said: "I will play mixed teams in the rest of the games.

Kiev's defence was poor. Actually to be blunt, they were awful for much of the match. They looked disjointed against a United side whose attacking wave of Carlos Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs were a cut above sublime.

Both enjoyed a successful spell last season as Keane guided the Black Cats back to the Premier League.

Keane said: "If I thought there was an opportunity to bring Jonny to Sunderland, we would consider it.

Giggs Praises Youngsters

Ryan Giggs has paid tribute to Gerard Pique, Danny Simpson and Anderson for their contributions in the 4-0 victory over Wigan.

"Pique came in at centre-half and did a good job, and so did Simmo," Giggs told the club's official website.

"They got two assists really, so overall it was a really good performance from them both."
