Ander Herrera has superb performance for Manchester United

Since making his Manchester United debut on July 23rd of 2014, Ander Herrera has been one of the players in the team of Louis van Gaal who has managed to have a fairly impressive season as the Spanish midfielder has been awarded with a man of the match award as well as simply being one of the most useful players for his team on certain games.

Louis van Gaal will need all the help he can get in order to continue pushing Manchester United into the top spots of the Premier League as well as help forget the supporters of the club from the recent disastrous seasons that United has been experience and it seems that even though the English club is not going through the best of times, Ander Herrera wants to become a legend at Old Trafford in a similar way to Paul Scholes.

Paul Scholes spent his entire playing career with Manchester United where he managed to make over 490 appearances for the club and also managed to lift the Premier League title on 11 different occasions as well as securing many other pieces of silverware including: The Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and the FA Cup just to name a few.

The Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has now stated that he wants to become an important figure for Manchester United just how Paul Scholes used to be.

"Paul Scholes is maybe the biggest midfielder in the United history. Yes. I want to be Ander Herrera, I want to learn things from Paul Scholes, things from Michael Carrick, things from Wayne Rooney. "I wish one day [that] I can be so important for the fans, but I have to work very, very hard for that. But, I think I am 25-years-old, I have to learn a lot from my teammates, from great players like Paul Scholes and I want to learn." Ander Herrera said as he voiced his plan of becoming a huge figure for Manchester United.

This is good news for Louis van Gaal as the Dutchman is on a quest of returning Manchester United to its former glory days and Ander Herrera has already displayed that he has enough skills to help the team out in their objective.
